Can you die from someone elses stupidity?  That was the question on my mind this morning.  I mean i'm sure that someones stupidity could lead to your death with them not paying attention, but what i meant was, could you die from actually being in their presence.  From having your IQ drop so low around them that you forget to breathe or something!

Needless to say because i'm sure you can already guess, i was in the presence of some massive stupidity last night that left me twitching.  Part of it is my own fault i admit.  I have this desperate need to prove I'm right when i know I'm right!  Sadly knowing you are right means very little when you are speaking to a rock!  Now just as misery loves company so does stupidity and of course, soon there were equally stupid friends involved in the conversation...................and more twitching on my behave.

My point to all of this?  I was in a wicked mood when i arrived at Mysterious Place, angry at myself, fearful my IQ may have dropped from the previous conversation, and in the perfect move to judge a sim harshly.

Did you talk to them too?

When you first arrive at the sim you are caught up in that Halloween fall feel, you even feel like your AV should clutch their sweater a little tighter around themselves because the feel of the cold crisp fall air seems so real.

Follow the walk way to the entrance to begin your Halloween adventure.  Though not very big they have made sure there is lots and lots to draw your eye and to help take that perfect picture.

Ok so at first i see this little game and i'm like WTF????  You have 5 bombs you can place by clicking the pumpkins, and the rest of the time you run over them to try and squish the most pumpkins in the allotted amount of time.  So i'm thinking "what a stupid game" but of course i had to try it, cause how can i say it sucks without trying it right?  Ok now time for the truth......................I played the game for 45 minutes.  You want to talk about a stress reliever?  Run yourself over some damn pumpkins!

Now as i stated the Halloween tour is small, but does contain a large arrangement of Items i have and have not seen before.

Don't forget to pay the Ferry Master

Before i know it i'm pointing and clicking at everything in sight.  No longer worried about the stupidity of others and simply enjoying the little sim laid out before me.

I'd be lying if i said this Hadn't got me giggling.  The blood on the other hand makes me wonder if this is how they died!

Trying to clean up after that anal?  Perhaps

Over all this sim was just what i needed.  The perfect little distraction and a great little getaway.  The sim its self offers a great deal more then just this little Halloween portion and we will definitely be back to review the rest at another time.  As always, don't forget to donate to help keep this sim open.

OH, and on a side note............................

It is possible to die from continuously being around people you find stupid or annoying!

Frustration can cause your blood pressure to elevate which can lead to heart attack or Stroke !
They are killing me slowly people, killing me slowly

(this would be extremely rare and only in cases of long term elevated bp,  meant as a joke and not medical advise people)

So this landmark came to me through a friend with a "you must visit" attached.  Always opened to suggestions i had a morning free and decided to visit what another called a "wonderful photographic sim"

When you first arrive on the sim you are instantly drawn into the magic of it.  A rich arrangement of colors surround you with pathways begging to be walked leading off in all directions, and beautiful seating areas decorated to perfection surrounding you.  It all begs to take a picture.

Setting myself to work i picked a path and allowed it to lead me onto my adventure.  Keep your eyes open, this amazing place is so decorated with such detail that it seems every where you turn there is something to catch the eye.  The sim offers varies houses  and other structures to take your pictures with, as well as a visually stunning landscape.  It also offers many interactive objects, so bring your own poses or leave them at home, either way you will be able to capture a delightful picture.

The whole sim is decorated for autumn but every now and then you will stumble upon an artistic scene arranged.  Click the poster to get the poem to go with it.  I'd be lying if I said my inner artist didn't rejoice in this.  A lover of poetry and the arts, i was instantly drawn to every word and emotion written and it was only made even more intense by the visual to go with it.  Now i will say to the average photographer looking for a place to take pictures of the family, these artistic displays are going to seem strangely out of place.  To others it will see its the placement of such raw emotion in the average that makes it perfect and its emotion stand out even more.

The poetry is written by Trip (TrippingDaisy) and i can only assume the art is completed by him as well.

Every time
It hurt me.
It started as a pebble
On top of that snowy
Mountain.
Each time the pebble
Gained momentum
In that downward spiral
Collecting mass;
Enlarging pulse.
They do not
Make band aids
For the insides.

You are a mass
Of bile
And hate
That I cannot swallow.
But, maybe
I should thank you.
Now the souls
Line up
To taste the poison
You left inside
Of me.
And they
Are dropping

Like flies.
                                                   Trip (trippingdaisy)

Over all, I suggest this sim to any lover of the arts as a place to explore a very talented poet and artist, and to any photographer looking for the perfect place to point and click, i hope you have as much fun loosing yourself in the sim and the poetry as I.

As always, don't forget to donate.  This sim has been added to my favorites and is definitely a place we need to keep open.

Twerk Paradiso

So i logged into flicker today and saw a stunning picture taken by someone i follow.  Most look to the person in they picture, their outfit, their face.  I on the other hand couldn't take my eyes off the back ground.  So after doing a little research i found out where the photo was taken and my travels brought me to Twerk Paradiso.

Now from what I could gather, this little slice of heaven is a privately owned homestead which as been opened to the public by its generous owner but only for the autumn season.  Of course that had me looking up the owner who I ended up finding out is co owner for Caboodle (see yesterdays blog where i am wearing a stunning outfit and wings made by them)

The sim is well worth the visit.  Its stunningly beautiful with all of its autumn colors and almost everywhere you turn there is another interactive object.  The sim wasn't so overly decorated that it was laggy but decorated enough that no matter how you turned there was a picture perfect opportunity.  I took numerous pictures and even I didn't capture the magic or every corner of the homestead.

Every inch of the sim is done to theme so that you truly feel like you are transported to some beautiful autumn destination.  The only thing on the sim that I didn't quiet understand is that every now and then you would see an oddly placed object that prevented you from taking pictures in the area or seemed strangely out of place with the theme.  For example this guy in the middle of the gazebo.

Don't really get this guys placement

Over all it was a stunningly beautiful sim and definitely one I will be back to visit before the end of the season.  It is rated adult but still a perfect place for a family photo.

I can't remember the last time i was this excited to edit pictures or to write a post!  Sounds funny even to me considering i only arrived at this place looking to decorate a child's room.  Home of the famous children's furniture designer MuddPuddles, i was instantly captured from the moment i landed.  I looked around quickly, took a landmark, and promised myself i would come back with more time and my camera ready, especially since there was also a haunted house with a hunt!  Well TODAY was that day!!

So we are going to kind of work this post differently.  normally i talk about the landing point given and take you through me seeing the place for the first time.  This time we are going to begin reviewing the sim when i arrived for day too and work myself back to the store front.  So, Lets begin our tour with the haunted house!!!

Its hard to believe but November first is fast approaching so you better get to this location.  You'll find the house big but not overly huge and all items are for baby/kid.  Make sure you bring your little ones with you because the items are non transferable!  Also make sure to get those hints, some of them were next to impossible to find without!

Outside the haunted house provides the perfect spot to take photos.  There is a few interactive objects available so bring some of your own poses.  Don't be afraid to play around with light settings either to get just the look you want, i found the region settings just not right for what i was looking for.

Every place has these &*%*ing Dolls.  They seriously creep me out in real life and in second life, and second life is a tad bit worse because some demented designer made so of them with heads that turn and eyes that follow you. (shivers) I know what i'll be having nightmares about tonight!

Pretty sure the creepy kid with the night filled the dude above.  Either way, Shes creepy as hell. With my hunt completed it was time to explore the rest of the fall inspired sim.  Stepping down the stairs from the haunted house will lead you to the barn where there is Everything you need to take the picture perfect fall picture.

And it gets even better, see those pumpkin patches??  Touch them to have a pumpkin delivered to you, but not any old pumpkin, pumpkins in different colors, different carvings, all made my Mudpuddles.  you can even click it more then once (I might have clicked it a dozen times) and receive a different pumpkin almost every time!  A perfect way for the whole family to get into the spirit of Halloween and carving the family pumpkin.

Me at the end of the day with all my Muddpuddle pumpkins in my yard!

Of course with all those animals there i had to capture a picture with a barn cat.  How cute are we?

And to keep myself in the Halloween spirit i captured these photos with my little voodoo doll.  (I swear honey i wasn't thinking of you......................................much while i was stabbing it, lol)  Over all the sim was a great experience and one i most certainly will go back to.  It was easy to maneuver through and there is so much more to it then the fall section i have shown you.  Visit for yourself to see the many little shops such as the record store and gym to capture your own amazing pictures.  And as always don't forget to donate to help keep the sim open, it is well worth the trip.
